Richards Sheet Metal (RSM) is on the cutting edge of technology with precision and skill. We have one of the most advanced lasers in the state of Utah; keeping tolerances between .002" and .006" on thin plate and between .005" to .010" on thick plate. RSM has more capacity than most metal fabrication shops in the area.

• Material Capacities are:
  • Carbon Steel - up to 1" thick
  • Stainless Steel - up to 3/8" thick
  • Aluminum - up to 3/8" thick

RSM has high definition, precision plasma capabilities.

• Cutting Capacities are:
  • Carbon Steel - up to 1 1/4 " thick
  • Sheet up to 72" wide and 240" long
  • Alternative when tolerances of .030" are allowed.

RSM has a CNC Punch with a punch rate of 800 hits a minute.

• Material Capacities are:
  • Carbon Steel - up to 10 GA
  • Stainless Steel - up to 10 GA
  • Aluminum - up to 1/4" thick

RSM has a very extensive welding program with certified welders in carbon steel, aluminum, and stainless steel.

• Certifications include:
  • AWS guidelines range from D1.1, D1.2, D1.3, and 17.1
  • MIG and TIG machines with various alloys
  • Soldering, brazing, and spot welding
  • Industrial certifications updated every six months
  • In-house, Certified Weld Inspector (CWI)

RSM forming capabilities are very broad and precise with material capacities up to 1/2" thick plate and 14' long.

• Forming Equipment includes: Amada, Trumpf, and Cincinnati press brakes

RSM works with rolling equipment that can roll up to and including 3/8" thick plate in lengths up to 8' long. Cylindrical rolling includes, but not limited to; pipe and cones.

RSM can cut material up to 16" wide at various angles.

RSM has an in house paint booth used for wet paint.
