Started in 1928 by I.L. Richards, along with his father and brothers, Richard Sheet Metal Work’s first home was a little shop front on 24th and Grant in Ogden, Utah. From its humble beginnings as Richards Tin Shop, I.L. slowly built his business upon the ability to produce what his customers needed and the philosophy that “you need the best people and the best machines.” Still a family-owned company, Owner and CEO Stephen R. Richards says I.L.’s philosophy remains in full-force and practice today. Richards invests in the people, equipment and technology necessary to provide their clients with world-class solutions and results.
Now located in the West Ogden Industrial Park, the 90,000 sq. ft. facility is outfitted with state-of-the-art machines and employees who are as adept with a computer as they are with a pair of tin snips. As a union shop, Richards takes great pride in their craftsmanship, innovation and ability to deliver a world-class product, made-to-order, for a competitive price.
